had a nice morning on erie today. after a marathon of events last night to get the boat going. apparently i didnt winterize the boat properly. i started it in my driveway and found i had poped a freeze plug. went to the auto parts store and picked up the new freeze plugs. while installing them at 9 p.m. saturday night my buddy hit the starter with a hammer and broke the solonoid.

THANK YOU AUTOZONE ON TELEGRAPH NEAR NORTHLINE. OPEN 24 HOURS!!!!!! PICKED UP THE NEW SOLONOID AND INSTALLED IT AT 12 AM.

was on erie at 7 am. all the eyes came on hot n tots. blue back, gold side, and orange belly. nothing else would work for us today.

thanks to autozone my first trip to erie was a success. and thanks to everyone who posts info and has personally given me info. :) polarbear.

we also hit erie again and got another 3 man limit today they were all in the 2 pound range we got out of the sheephead and silver bass and we lost a lot of fish today at least 7. here is a pic of the fish at home.

This is probably starting to sound like a broken record, but for the second day in a row just a great day on Erie. Took my son, 1shot and his friend and mine, LOngbeard and took another 3 man limit today. Something came out of today's fish, I kept some for me this time....must get the fryer going sometime soon. Dan and Jason it was a pleasure having you guys on the boat with me today, I didn't have to do much except be the net maid and I'm getting pretty good at it. At least that's what the boys said....

straight out of bolles harbor. 19 to 20 ft of water. secret, found a "hump" out there. humminturd said 13 fow. hit 2 off that. couldnt find it again. no gps. we just trolled in and around the pack.

hey walleyeman, you guys make a great team. good for you.

1 fife, i may go out in the morning. if i do i will be on the water from 6 am till 11 or so. not sure if i will have a partner or not.

I sent you a p.m. I would also like to say nice job on the fish today and showing some awesome stick to it and get the job done to get on the lake today for some great fishing. I would also like to add to the post by my son, that we were fishing by the "bell bouy" out from Fermi in about 20' of water using tot's (anything with chrome on them worked well today) speed was about 1.8 to 2.4 mph

Thanks for the tip Walleye man, but I couldn't get a hit trolling, we just cast erie dearies and got a dozen eaters in two and a half hours, they got to be stacked ,, Huge sheephead , and best of all no snags, went looking for perch but had to tow a boat in about five miles,, guy said he was drifting for hours,,LOl ,,asked him why he didn't put out the anchor, and the guy turns all red and says he didn't think of it,,,LOL
