I was on the SB last night as well. There was a very good number of hex. Actually i think there were to many because i only got 2 hits. i'd look at my fly in the water an see about 5 spinners right along with my fly going down stream. My buddy had a nice one take him into the lumber. and missed a hog twice.
The really strange thing is i didn't see to many flying but there were a ton on the water. i think there was great spinner fall up stream from us and they just floated down. They defenitly weren't emergers. Also with all the bugs on the water the number of rising fish sucked!!! Then to make it worse a guy walked right down the middle of the run i was fishing and tired crossing. I was changing to a different spinner and didn't see him. I turn around didn't see him, made a cast and nailed him with my fly line. I was like opps sorry, ya right. I'm done hex'n for this yr.
