What a long .....long......... day.
My legs are red today :)
We fished just about everywhere....we saw fish and marked fish but not one would bite.
We did see a boat at about 2:30 in the dumping grounds net one, Greenish and white boat. If it was any of you, way to go!
Seeing that fsh was what we needed to keep trying to hook one ourselves.
Talked to lots of people at the ramp, few fish caught but lots marked.
Any ideas how the bass tourneys did on smallies?
BTW Muskie Bob : I read your lil Blue Book at Esox's House, very good information and spots to fish.
If you happen to read this I want to say Hello and that I enjoyed the book!

trout, I hear ya. We musky fished from 7am-12pm from out in front of the GPYC to over near the belle river hump, the dumps, passed by the weather buoy...one dink musky, 24 inch, 3lb caught at 1045 am on a depthraider, YB perch. boat rod, 10 feet back 1 lb ball, two way rig as seen on rocketman site. the bottom bait was the depthraider. Very slow, no other rips, nothing. Saw lots of activity from the LSC light to belle river and in between, but not alot of catchin. payin' the dues...andy

Well, my wife and I had someome to take care of Jr. today, so we hit the lake for a couple hours during the 90 degree temps. In between the sweating we ended up 2 for 3. First fish came on a Mason that was white and pink (not sure the brand name). Anyway the second rip did not hook up. Third third one came on a olive frog. One was 42 inches and the other one was 34. Didn't get any hogs, but it was still alot of fun! Fished off the Ruscom. Ended up going for a swim after a couple hours due to the heat. Good luck guys!

I KNEW we were doing something wrong Kirk, we should have been on Johns boat!!!!! Good going John. We saw a few fish and even moved some casting, but thay sure weren't cooperative. I had a good time anyhow. Ken, maybe next weekend???? We can try and gang up on them again. I was a bit dissapointed when there were Bass Busters even in my way back hidey holes. There were two tourneys that I know of out there, and hundreds of glitter rockets all over the lake. Next time it's straight to that third point for some serious dawn casting, before the glitter rockets put them down. I am certain the fish we saw would have been more cooperative if they had'nt been bombarded with bass baits before we got there.

Muskie Bob, as Trout pointed out, I have a copy of your book from 1984, Casting Anchor Bay. It's a good read.

I have that same book.

Bob, do you remember a guy you use to play cards with from your neighborhood by the name of Dan Kersay?

Dan and I have hunted and fished together for years. Don't see him much anymore (my fault) Glad you guys like the books. I am planning a new one. Muskie of Lake St Clair or something like that don't know if it will sell but I have to try. LET IT GO LET IT GROW. BOB

Ontario side had 2 bass tourneys going on this weekend, besides it was openning weekend for bass, cap it off with a long holiday weekend. Midweek will be the time to be out.
