Just finished my new deer shack, I think I only have about $30 invested in it. The lumber was all free, got from my dad. The material is 3/8" plastic HIPS capped acrylic sheet 65x55". I work for a shower and tub company, and this is what we make our tubs out of. We had some extra kickin out back in the engineering test lab, worked great! Can't wait to get it set up in the woods, hopefully this weekend. Thanks for all your help!:)

I even added a shelf that we dont make anymore. It is 3/8" plastic as well.

LOL, I like the corner shelf, but I think the outside finish could have been better if you would have spent more then ten minutes painting it. :D
Needs more of a camo/woodsy look IMO.

Like I told my dad, this is not going to be a "perfect" deer shack. I am sure the deer wont care if it is a 1/4 inch off, or if its not coated with realtree camo. I still might put leaves on the side and rattle paint over top of them, but that wont matter. When I get done with it, setting it up, you wont see the camo.

That paint job is very mesmerizing:dizzy: The deer will probably just stand there in a hyponitic state. You know if you would have ripped thoes 2 by 4's in half you could have built 2 blinds (and they would be lighter)

And that is exactly what I plan to do!! All the big bucks will be chasin does past my shack, so I plan to stop them in their tracks. I might even spray the shack with doe estrus, oh man, I can see big ol mossy now. Yall laugh now, wait till ol mossy horns is hanging at my shed.:D

I must admit I liked roughing and toughing it, but I'm starting to get lazy. I wouldn't mind one like that with a heater and a cot as well. Nice shack. Also, if it sits there for a while the deer won't care if it's got a bright neon sign on it that says. Come near and your dead!!:lol: They get used to anything. I think it's funny everyone HAS to have the latest camo. Honestly though. Cool hunting shack.:):coolgleam:coolgleam

why a mirror in blind?
It's a reflection from the plexi-glass window. :p

Cool blind ... if you come across some free paint, I'd paint it a different color/pattern. :dizzy:

Check out my photos. Just came in to some free wood and put this shack together over the last couple days. The platform is at 30 ft. Putting the hammock in next week. What a view!!!:yikes: I dropped about $80 in supplies.

Regardless of the cosmetics, the best part is it will keep you warm and dry, and out in the woods longer. Nothing worse then the cold wind chasing you out of the woods on a 20 degree day.
