I fished out by the Clinton River boat club at the end of the middle channel this morning. Vertical jigging for walleye with crawlers was very slow. Only boated one walleye (20" fish), lost another and missed a couple good bites - all out by red bouy #6. Saw three sturgeon jump, and caught a couple 24-25" northern pike while casting some muskie lures along the channel. A beautiful morning, but just not many walleye around in the middle channel yet.

Got back to the North Channel public access launch site about noon and talked with a couple guys who caught 9 walleye in the south channel near the church...figures I picked the wrong channel to fish this morning.

Hey Mike...It was one of those mornings that you see on the postcards. Muskys did not cooperate this AM, we fished the dumps then over to the belle river hump. One dink muksy at 1045 am off the hump, 24 inch 3 lb. Hit a YB Perch depthraider. Lots of fishermen out over in canada, pat the LSC light and over to belle river, walleye and musky trolling mostly...got hot out there by 12 noon....andy

Keep the reports coming Mike. I love fishing the middle channel. Not as much traffic as the north and south.
