Finally decided to switch my old TM Hunter type rest for a Biscuit. I had problems with it last year and decided to try something else. Took toward now to decide what I wanted, nothing like last minute right?;) Put it on and tuned it Friday and spent yesterday and today shooting it. It gets the Critter seal of approval so far, we'll see how it goes in the field. I did robinhood and wreck two carbons yesterday, neat to do, hate to loose the arrows. Today I shot at different spots at different ranges, elevations and shooting positions. It works, I can't wait to try it for real.

I am thinking about doing the same thing myself. I too have a TM Hunter rest with nylon silencers and still makes noise drawing back. I don't think that it is to late to change as long as your good with readjusting quickly.

Great choice I switched over a couple of years ago and I love my WB. Some people on here will bash it and say the only way to go is the drop away. I have never tried a drop away so I don't know. My Wb is simple, quiet and easy to maintain (no adjustments and being out of time). Good Luck only 2 weeks from tomorrow!!!!!:dizzy:

The wb is by far the best rest I have used, the only issue I had with it is during late bowseason or when it is extremely cold you may get some frost forming on the whiskers which can cause a slight scratching noise.

So far I like it. As good of a rest that I have ever used. Easy to use and quite, no break in time. Hope it last a long time. Does anyone know if it slows down your arrow? I had someone tell me does and that is why they didn't get one. If it does I told them I can't tell, it can't be much.

Usually it is those who are dead set against the WB who complain about arrow speed loss. While it is true that a minute amount of speed may be lost, it is so small that it is insignificant. The WB is still the favorite hunting rest among the majority of archers.

I am thinking about putting one on my bow. But do the whiskers wear out over time?

From what I have seen, they have replacement biscuits. But I have to imagine that there is along period of time before that much wear can take place???

Best hunting rest made . I have been using them for hunting on several bows since 2002 . I have a drop away on one of my bows , but I use the WB for hunting .
Here are some FAQ's from the website :

I just went to the WB this year after getting tired of having to hold the bow a certain way on stand with my finger placed in an uncomfortable position, then sometimes having the arrow come off the rest as I'm drawing back. Hunting situations don't always give you the optimum position for drawing back and it's times like that that the WB really shines. I may have lost a little ft/sec, I can't tell, it was already blistering to begin with, and that was with a heavy aluminum arrow, now I've got carbons, the peep site and kisser buton have been removed and I now have a Pollington. So far everybody that's been next to me while I target shoot have all said the same thing, DANG that thing is fast. I was shooting bullseyes all weekend, so I got nothing bad to say about the WB. Plus my bow is a tempermental beast with a riduclously low 5.25" brace height that can be a real pain to shoot. It is the least forgiving bow I've ever shot. I've lost one Blazer and that was over the weekend, but haven't noticed any wear on the others yet.

I think for a hunting situation, there really isn't anything else out there that is as simple and so effective. If you're shooting tourney's, I'd be looking for something else, but if you've got a hunting setup, than a WB is hard to beat for price or simplicity. If you find it a bit noisy, just take a Qtip and swab the inside diameter to quiet it down. I've not noticed any noise with my carbons, so I'm leaving mine alone.

To me, a loss of a few FPS is far outweighed by the convenience of the WB. No more worrying about bumping your arrow when it's on the rest or moving parts! The day I decided to switch it was because my fall-away rest failed (luckily during practice)...it got me to thinking I better simplify my rig. It was one of the best moves I've made.

This is my second year with a WB and I can't imagine ever using another rest for hunting. It takes so many bad things out of the equation in a tense moment.

I went to a WB about 3 weeks ago. That was the best thing I've ever done with my archery equipment, ever. I went from having target panic and not being able to hit a bullseye at 20 yards, to robinhooding arrows at 40. My feathers are starting to take a beating though. I havent had any fall off, but the tips are slowly wearing down and they are getting smaller. I'm gonna try some blazers next time I get my arrows re-fletched.

I love the bisquit. For hunting it is just about failsafe. Once you've got the arrow locked and loaded you don't have to worry about it coming off the rest so you can just concentrate on the shot.
