I have a friend that has a Polaris 700, Sportsman.
It is a 2004, with 210 Hours, 2300 miles
It is in great shape with a few light scratches from getting on and off and from limbs.
He wants NO LESS than $4,000.
Is that a GOOD deal or is that about what they go for??
any help??

I have exactly what you are looking at. In fact, he might have stolen mine!;)
First, what I would do is look at the hitch in the back. See if it is twisted or bent. Do you know if he did heavy work with it such as hooking up a plotmaster? I might take flak for this, but doing foodplots can really add to the wear, especially if someone does not take it easy on the machines.
If they are easy riding miles, it looks like a good deal to me. See if he has service records.
Good luck.

Dave,
Sounds like a decent price but the hours/miles seems high...
