Walleye, im sure you could stilll find a few around. I have been fishing up river since early april and have been doing rather well. Casino Windsor is the place to be right now, handlining of course. Im going to wait a month or so and do some drifting with crawler harnesses down at the hole in the wall. Untill then, it is all upriver for me. If you do go, id like to hear your response as to how you did. Good Luck

WalleyeWarrior,

You have to work hard. But, you may pickup a few here and there handlining at night. All of the action is out in the Lake (Erie) right now.

Try fishing 14 FOW pulling bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses on planer boards. OR if the weeds are not too bad you can try casting for them using Harnesses and Erie Dearies.

Most if not all of the fish were in the 20 FOW about a week ago. With the May Fly hatch we had the last 3 or 4 days, the fish have moved in and have been very cooperative if you fish around 14'. Had several friends fish Stony Point and Bolles Harbor and ended up catching a combined total of 90 fish between 2 boats.

If your down near the Trenton Channel and have the time you may want to make the run south and try the Lake. The river just seems like a waste of time right now.

There are fish to be had.

The best time for me has been between 8 and sundown.

Try using McGintys or a popper tipped with a piece of crawler.

My buddy got 23 over the weekend, I managed 4 tonight.
