I have driven past Green Lake along M-52 several times on my way to Chelsea. There looks like there is a place to push a boat in so I was wondering what species of fish might be in this lake and is there anything worthwile to fish for in it. My niece is in town and I would like to take her someplace near Lansing. Thanks.

I've fished Green only a couple of times during the past two years, but haven't managed anything of note there. Caught a few small bass on plastics, but that's about it. I targeted the deeper water stretches between the weeds - lots of weeds usually. It's a nice quiet lake without any pwcs though and that's always a plus...good luck...
P.S. There are lots of other lakes in the area that might offer better fishing with the trade off of more people...
