I will be heading over to one of these lake friday and making an all day float. I have a few questions.

I have always heard cass lake gets really bad with boaters and all. Is it bad on a friday?

2. How are the fishing on all these lakes right now?

Thanks

Cass Lake is generally busy. Go to Orchard Lake for good fishing and the boat traffic is nil during the week. Good Luck. :)

Stelmon, if I had my choice I would go to Orchard.
The fishing is much better and there is speed limit
for pwc's which I think is 30 mph. You and I both
know the guys that use pwc's on inland lakes
can't keep her under 30.

Stelmon--I used to fish Lakeville a lot when I was younger. We caught plenty of gills, crappie, and bass. There are some small bays which should keep those annoying jet skis away from you. Good luck, and let us know how you do. Later.

I was out on Orchard Lake probably 3 yrs ago now (never been back since). The sheriff stopped us at the docks after we had our boat in the water and did the old safety check to make sure we had the proper equipment. Then he said he could give us a ticket for having soda containers on board. He said there was a lake ordinance against any kind of beverage containers on your boat. He then checked all our compartments for any "contraband". Good thing our case of beer was in the compartment that also served as a step to the deck so he didn't notice it.
I don't know if the cop was just being a @!$# but I think that's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. I've never looked into it further, maybe I'll call the township and check on that.

How do you like your float tube?

Good fishin

E,
I totally forgot about that. Since I was going to make it an all day float, I would need some sort of beverage. We had the same thing happen to us on july 4th weekend. We still go there, but not with pop:mad:
