When out at dawn. After about an hour caught the biggest stream trout I've ever caught. At first I thought it was a carp it was so big and brown. As soon as I saw the fish I knew I wanted to release it for another day. Tried to get a pictures before I release it but it thrashed from my hands before I could. Must have been at least 15 inches. Then my luck turned worse rapidly. as I was trying to free a snap it tripped over a large rock and when face first into the water. My digital camera got soaked and still is showing no signs of life and I busted my ultralight rod. Oh well, I have the memories of a great fish, which may well be there the next time I go there.

Congrats on the big trout. Today must have been a bad day for breaking rods. I broke my 9 foot 5 weight Scott SAS, while trying to free a snag. Small relief that they have a lifetime unconditional warranty, but I'm still not going to be able to fly fish for a few weeks, which stinks.

Well I'm not going to be able to take digital pictures for some time which will hurt the site. I will never forget that fish though.
