Its getting close to my first trapping season. I am only going to water trap for rats.

I plan on running 6:110s 3:160s and 3:#1CS 3:#1LS on floats.

Do I need to wax or die my traps for rats? Or are they good to go.

Please point me in the right direction

No you don't need to wax or dye to catch rat's.Some cheap flat black spray paint will help keep your trap's from rusting.

One more question.

Is there any adjustments that I should do to the conibears?

I did not have to adjust my connibers. I would recommend adjusting your CS's and your long springs....make sure you have the pan nice and flat parallel with the trap jaws. Last year was my first year trapping, I had alot of missing due to not adjusting my trap pans, after I made adjustments my catch rate went up by 60 %.

I would recommend dying and waxing your traps, you will extend their life quite a bit and the wax will make your traps stay fast upon being triggered. Make sure if you wax them to get the wax out of the dog and off the end of the trigger as well, the connibers especially. Got my fingers on them twice last year lol!
