Well it was Saturday late morning and my brother and I were on our way back to the cabin from the morning hunt. We had about a half hour drive out of the state forest where we were hunting. As we came up over a hill we saw him standing in the road about 250 to 300 yards away. I stopped the truck we could not belive what we were seeing. At that time he took off back into the woods. So we had to back up a little ways to find a parking spot. We got out and rushed to get all our gear back on. We got squared away and took off walking down to were the coyote was. Not 10 yards from were we saw him was a two track that had a Y off to the left about 50 yards in. So I sat next to the trail back about 30 yards from the Y. My brother sat behind me watching the road to see if it crossed back over. I set up my little e-caller in front of me in a little tree. I turned it on to the distressed rabbit and let it play. Within 3 min I cought movement coming from my left side down the Y on the other side of a pine tree. It was the coyote, then he stopped on the edge of the trail looking to see where the rabbit sounds were coming from and thats when I shot. He went about 25 yards in the woods and thats where we found him. This whole thing happened pretty fast. You have to be ready. oh, I shot him with my .22 mag.

O.K. I was able to put a pic in my gallery up at the top right. I think they are too big to post them. I have no hardware to down size them.

As noted-perfect shot. Did he spin around when hit. Have seen them do that on videos.
