The hex arrived last night at about 10:45. Not a blanket hatch, but there were bugs on the water. Bugs were around for a good 45 minutes, but I did not catch one fish. Had a few slashes from what I think were smaller fish, but the hogs did not want to dance last night. Anyone else have any luck last night? There were quite a few cars that left Roscommon at around midnight that I kind of stuck with on 75 all the way back down to where I got off in Midland at Beaver R. Kind of helped me stay awake. I'm going to need a caffeine IV today to keep me going. I probably won't make it back up until Thursday so please leave me a few. haha

Last night was a very nice light hatch and actually lasted for about 1.5 hours for me, as I had pigs feeding all over, landed the three that I hooked 17, 18 ,19 inches. Dad lost a big one too, but he left the river too early. The last 30 minutes I couldn't hook them, needed a I big ugly white fly I think. Good luck. Hex by us I think is on its last leg. Binkly where did you fish?

Beer & Nuts,

I fished at Chase Bridge. I used both yellow bodied emergers and cream colored spinners. Neither of them seamed to be something that the hogs couldn't resist. I remember last year, I couldn't put a fly on the water that they wouldn't take. I was pretty frustrated last night, edpecially staring down the barrel of a 90 mile drive after getting skunked. Where did you fish?
