Jeeze. its one week to the opener and no one has started a loins 07 predictions Thread. In years past we would have had one up and running for at least a week now. I m thinking that every one here just dosent care? or has had enough? Even Joe hasnt posted anything for his team in a couple weeks:dizzy:
Was it Kitna who said that they will win 10 games this year? I think the only way for them to win 10 games is to use 2 full seasons. 2 seasons of 5-11 will get him to 10 wins!!!! Thats IF they improve and play better they can go 5-11:lol:
Anyways, what do you all think that year will hold for the lowly loins???
(I WILL POST MY PREDICTIONS IN A FEW DAYS. I HAVE TO DO SOME REASEARCH)

you think it will take 9 wins for millen to get a contract extension Mel? :16suspect I know you know better!

It's more fun predicting the over/under regarding 10 losses than it is wins. It's also fun to speculate on how they will lose, an area where they have demonstrated great creativity...

I'll say 6 & 10. Injuries will take their toll, as they always seem to. I do think they are going to be entertaining to watch this year, though.

Millen traded Dre Bly, which was a good move, but then did absolutely nothing to improve the secondary. He used a 2nd round pick on a QB (Drew Stanton) who at best is practice squad material and even that's iffy, when there were solid corners available. The defense was horrid last year and it looks like it's regressed. I am fully repealing my optimistic record prediction and coming back to sad reality with a 3-13 prediction.

8-8, as Marinelli continues to weed out the unproductive clowns. Now, if he could fire Millen...

I agree with that assessment of the secondary, but I think the defense will be slightly better than last year.
In any case; Oakland, Minnesota, Washington, Tampa Bay, Arizona, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings (win, win, win, win, win, win, win and win). Philadelphia, Chicago, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, San Diego, Kansas City, Green Bay (loss, loss, loss, loss, loss, loss, loss, and loss).
What's that; eight and eight?

Whoever voted for 9-11 wins needs to put the bong down and step away from the computer. :tdo12:

Better yet...share some of that stuff with the rest of us!!!
If it can make the loins look like a 9-11 win team than maybe it can make my wife look 20 years younger and 20 LBS slimmer:lol:

How was the Bly trade a good move? The Lions have ZERO to show for it. They went from having a starting corner to some schmuck off the practice squad. Attitude or not, the guy could help this team. They supposedly got o-line help in that trade too, along with Darrel Strawberry to tote the rock.

The screw up with Stanton should have been expected. Were talkin about Millen here, he can't get two picks in a row right. Yes they should have taken a corner but they didn't.

The D was horrid last year, but should be better with the signing of a premier defensive lineman,,,,, that they had all along for 49Million.

6 wins may be overachieving but 5-7 wins should be it unless several teams fall on their faces.
