Really like the thermocell but will deer smell it? Your thoughts?

I have used one for two seasons now, and have had great success. They have saved my butt more than I can count in the early season. When my buddies were getting bit up I was fine. I shot two bucks in the last two early parts of the season. And have never noticed any deer reacting to it. I will not go into the woods in october without it.

I've heard enough positive feedback on the Thermocell that it'll be with me this season - last year starting with the youth hunt was BRUTAL. I had to beg my son (at 9:00 am) to stay 30 more minutes ..... 25 minutes or so later he shot a 7 pt (his first deer). But we almost left because the bugs were so bad.

I have used one during the early deer season the past 2 years, and have not been busted with it yet. I was surprised, because it does give off an odor, but must not be something that the deer associate with people.

Fear not. It is a great thing to have when the biters are around you and it will not bother deer.

All your big box retailers Cabela's, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain and also alot of smalller retailers Al and Bob's I know they have it. It will run around $24.00 for the thermacell plus you need to purchase some extra cartridges.
