Its not an excuse by any means. I went thru Mike's H.I.T. system for 4 years and then a G.A. for 2. Im hear to say that times are changing. The days of 3 yards and a cloud of dust is gone. The problem is Mr. Carr and Mr. Gittleson are both products of the "Bo Era". Today teams are putting better athletes on the field and playing a diffrent style of football. Athletic quarterbacks give Michigan fits. SEC teams and PAC 10 teams give Michigan fits as well. Playing conservative football with the ultimate goal of winning the Big Ten is the foundation of the Michigan Football Program. That was fine 20 years ago. How many coaches around the country would kill to have players like Henne, Hart, Long, Crable, Taylor, Adams and Manningham? The point is Lloyd Carr has these players and takes a dump in their helmets. The program can only carry the Coach for so long. It is time!:idea:
