The hex are here. Saturday night while I was fishing Manistee tourney the HEX arrived for my dad. A nice hatch at about 10:40, he landed his biggest fish ever on his first cast of the night, a huge 24 incher. He has landed some other 23-24 incher before but he said this one was a monster with a huge head and girth like he has never seen. Biggest fish he has ever seen caught out of the river. Quick measurement and it was released! His friend from downstate also landed a 19.5 incher. No other fish as it was over fairly quickly.
Got home and went out witha couple buddies and hit a blanket hatch of hex last night. Had some real dandies feeding but way to many flies on the water, I landed a nice 17 incher, dad landed another 18 incher and two friends caught a couple 13-14 inchers. Flies were still coming down but feeding was non-existant. Packed it in at 11:30.
Will be out tonight again.
