Ludington 27 pound king caught last Sunday 26th

Officially weighed in by the DNR at the Ludington cleaning station. 27 pounds and the guy who caught it claims it was bigger than that on the boat. I took a couple photos....

The DNR said this was the biggest king to be caught out of this port so far this year as of the 26th of August.

Nice fish,use ta be over 30lbs was a big fish but over the last few years anything over 20 is a big fish.Great pic's

Very nice fish. What do you think the girth is on that fish ? 20-24 inches ?

My guess is 28-30 inches

That's one of our good friends Keith and his mom, I'll have to let him know the pics are up here. It was a nice king, one of the very biggest getting caught anywhere on Lk Mich this year. They are good fisherman and know how to pile up a nice box consistantly on the lake.

Thats is one heck of a nice fish and one lucky man to have caught it.I would say by the shape of it that this was cock and not a hen.If it was hen though imagine all those eggs:SHOCKED:Sir sir sir can I have those eggs :evil:

Sweet deep color! I need to try the lake, they don't look that good even when they are fresh in the rivers!
