I am not sure what part you are referring to. Where is the middle branch? I have fished the North branch a couple of times up by the wolcott mill metropark with no success. I work near 32 mile rd and romeo plank rd and also tried fishing upstream of 32 mile rd which I read was a designated trout stream but that area was so shallow (about ankle deep and sometimes as deep as your knee)that I could not imagine a trout living there. I saw tons of minnows but no trout. I know the DNR used to plant steelhead fingerlings up by 32 mile rd. I called once asking about the North branch and they asked me to call back if I caught anything as they were interested to see if the fish were returning or not. I would also be interested in hearing if anyone fishes the north branch or the middle branch with any success.

If you are looking for a trout stream near home and haven't tried Paint Creek near Rochester you might want to give it a try. I have had good success there.

The Middle Branch runs close to the North branch of the Clinton river. I recently purchased a new house near Romeo Plank and 25 mile rd. The Middle branch does run through two golf courses, Wolverine and Crackelwood golf courses. Looking at a map of the area, it looks as if the Middle branch is supplied by drains that are near Stoney Creek Metro Park. Flows east then empties into the middle branch between 26 and 25 mile roads just east of Hays and then flows south along Romeo Plank Rd to the Spillway and Main Branch of the Clinton.
