Does anyone have any updates or conditions on the Sturgeon or Pigeon rivers lately? I am going to be in the Wolverine area next week after labor day and looking for some good fly fishing spots. I am bringing my aluminum boat so any good lake tips would be much appreciated too, thanks and tight lines!

Wildwood Lake, 5 mins. south of Wolverine) is full of chunky 3-4# bass and 18-28" pike. We had really, really good success casting cranks in the west end.

Did ok trout fishing on mainstream Sturgeon, near Haakwood last week.

Just got home. What a sweet weekend all water was jam packed with tubes and boats. All waters looked great the rivers were up from a few weeks ago. Only fished the southern part of the pigeon lots and lots of creek chubs night time seemed to be the best from a half hour bfor the sun disapeared over the trees all weekend landed 3 lil brookies, 2 decent browns, One nice rainbow. All released. Ill bet we nabbed over 100 chubs. Browns will be coming in soon. Hope to be back up in a few weeks. Let the river traffic calm down and fishing should be at its best up there.
