Thanks, Slimshady and Canadian Hunter, for your responses about the Belle River area. I took my wife and my 6 year old out there for a some perch fishing. Unfortunately, I got quite an education. The guy at R&D Tackle told me the boys had been doing real good just off the western tip of the "hump". We got out there and saw the pack of 15 boats, 3 of these boats were vurtually tied off to each other................then I found out why. I noticed these guys would get snagged every now and then (when they weren't catching fish), just like fishing the Det. river. How strange for the lake, then I heard them say something about rocks. Well these perch, some very nice ones too, must have been tightly schooled on these pilings. We caught 3 perch, tried different baits and rigs, besides moving around them as close as possible without disrespecting their space and never improved our action or found these rocks. I watched several other boats in the area and did not see anybody catching perch like these 3 boats. The best part of the day was the fact that there was not any pleasure boaters or Sea-Doo's. I know this could not be said about the American side on a 90 deg. Sunday.

SSSHHHHHH! You were supposed to say there were too many boat's and seadoo's!

Glad you had a good time though, wish I knew you were going for perch, I would have sent you farther east in 4-6' of water!

Canadian Hunter, are you familiar with these pilings (rocks) that I was talking about? I saw some real nice fish come out of there, unfortunately, you had to be right on top of these rocks.
