Any experiences or favorite loads for a .45 caliber Encore muzzleloader??
Just picked up one to keep my UF company and serve as backup in IA in December!
Thanks!

I use powerbelts in 225 gr and 100 gr pellets I know you can go to 150 gr. but the encores seem to punish the shoulder pretty easily in my experiences. I shot my buddy's 50 with synth. stock and thought that was the reason, but I have the laminate stock in 45 and it boots pretty good too. Of course I don't notice when I'm shooting at deer but target shooting, I tend to feel it after 10 or 12 shots. But I really like the gun, though.
I have a 209X45 walnut.100 grains loose Triple 7 with a 275 grain powerbelt and 3X9 VariXII Leupold will shoot 100 yard 1 1/2" groups very easily.
