Does anybody know if there is still a launch at Belle river? Secondly, does anyone know of a bait shop in the Belle River area?

Yes, there is a boat ramp right at Belle River, next to a bait shop. This is where a charter boat called stumpys or something like that goes out of. It is a big "head" boat for 25 people or more. You just have to pay $5-10 to use the ramp.

Yes the ramp is there, a new tackle shop took over the empty baitshop I believe. You've also got one on the ruscom and one at Stoney Point and also the Thames river. SP is shallow close to shore, we took an 18' lund through it thursday, had to trim up and stay next to the markers for the first 1/4mile.
Leave "the pops" at the car, we were stopped twice by the O.P.P., midweek!
This is getting to be a drag. Stopped twice by the OPP, midweek. What happened to the good ole days. Load the boat with some Pops/Minnows as the ole man used to call beer and head out from Pike Creek and get some fish. Too many laws, what's up with all of this. Might have to stop going to Puce for a burger and a draft. I have a beer on shore I might be demonstrating that I might have the urge to go later and with my Porta Potti on board I am breaking the law. Just venting but I am getting mighthy tired of all this BS.

Make that sleeping quarters, and a pump out head, No Porta Potti,
I bought a boat in '86 and i was told for international waters,
ie: lake st clair, lake erie, lake huron, lake superior the law requires pump out.
