will there be a U of M or MSU forum for football this fall, or will it be limited to Pro teams?

A forum for MSU football? Wouldn't that be painful for Spartan fans? Heck, that would almost be like having a forum for UM Basketball. :chillin:

I guess I can see having a Lions, Tigers, Wings, and Pistons forum but that is stretching it. Personally if sports has to be separated from the Sound Off forum I think that a general "Sports" forum would suffice. To tell you the truth I find that the site is getting kind of hard to navigate already. We're getting so split up already that I have a hard time going back to particular posts because I can't remember which sub-forum they have been posted in.
This is just my opinion but I feel we're just about reaching the limit of divisions we need here.
Take care

I see no reason there can't be a "college football" section. I know I'd be in it more than once a day!
And when football season is done and Michigan has it's second national title in 10 years... we can simply change it to the "college basketball" section.

And then when football season ends the forum would basically sit idle for six months. I'd have to agree w/ jp on this - the farthest I would go is to make a general 'college' section.
Split it up by sport. Instaed of Tigers, make it baseball. Instead of Lions, make it football. Add Hockey and Basketball, and maybe an "other" for UFC, wrestling, and others.

speaking of college football, if anyone is planning on going to the UM-Appalachian St. scrimmage this weekend (and for the first few other home games at least) and will be coming from the south, you may want to be advised of the following and seek alternate route:

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:
Construction on US-23, between Milan and Dundee, in Monroe County, is currently behind schedule. It is anticipated that a single lane closure will be needed into fall. This will impact motorists traveling over the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend and will impact motorists traveling to Ann Arbor for University of Michigan home football games. MDOT would like to remind motorists to plan extra time and drive with caution when traveling on US-23 during these special event weekends.

just take I-75 North to I-275 North to I-94 West and you'll get there.
or leave VERY EARLY and take US 23 and don't be in a hurry!!!!!
