Fixed Slider

I like to run fixed sliders on my rigger rods. I have been using the Elberta Clippers, and like them allright. However I can't seem to find any around town, and I hear there are better ways to rig a fixed (not free sliding) slider. How would I do that? Any Ideas?

I use surgical tubing. Others use rubber bands or stacker stickers. Try a search, it's been dicussed many times before.
