Got my well in at camp last week - two questions popped up in my head as I was driving home.
1. What do you do in the winter to keep it from freezing and breaking (pipe and pump)??
2. What do you do to keep the little rubber gasket inside the pump from drying out and killing the suction of the pump???

If you don't have a heated structure around the pump you will have to, at minimum, drain it. I used to disconnect mine from the feed line and open the petcock to make sure it is drained. You could also add a little RV anti-freeze to the pump and run it through by hand, it will also help to keep O-rings from drying out. If you want water year round you could build a dog house structure around the pump and pressure tank, insulate very well and keep a high wattage light bulb or heat lamp burning either on a timer or on a thermostat, but you're always at risk of freezing if anything goes wrong.
