I've had hat happen to me a couple times on a snowmobile. Thankfully I've yet to collide with one, but still it's scary nonetheless to know that I was milliseconds from serious injury.

There was a motorcyclist in SW Michigan killed by a deer collision a few weeks back. I'd have my head on a swivel if I was biking in farm country.

Don't know if this is true, however I have seen the video. A couple of buddies were riding around filming a few tricks and decided to put the hammer down. The guy filmed his speedometer at something like 145mph. Crazy. He pans up just as a deer is crossing in front of his buddy. The biker slams into the deer and virtually cuts it in half. The rider never loses controll and soon pulls over. If it was fake I'll still give props to the guys who made it because it looked very real and by the way the guy filming sounds, he is either a geat actor or truely terrified. Wish I knew where to find that video!

I missed a couple by a matter of feet in July on my way to work. Could have reached in both directions and hit a deer.:tdo12: They are a big reason I never ride without full protective gear.

I can't imagine what would have happend if that deer's hooves hit a guy on a bike NOT wearing a helmet!!!!

I had a close call a couple of years back, not more than a half mile from my house. That thing jumped out of the woods so quick, I could have reached out and slapped it's butt as it got past me!!! I needed some new underwear after that one!!!

that is crazy. I rarely ride my motorcycle, but that sure as hell doesn't look like something I want to experience.

A friend of mine hit one a couple of years ago coming off the Bay ice fishing. He had an old style helmet on and when the deer tried to jump over him the knee on the deers hind quarter caught him just behind his jaw bone. Needless to say it almost tore his whole face off. Thankfully he was with a friend of his. After a bunch of surgeries and a new Titanium face he is as good as new....Now we call him TINMAN.

p.s. The first thing he bought when he got better was a full face helmet
