This was the first time in years that I fished opening day of bass season. My sons and I were out Saturday morning. We caught 13 keepers (14 inches or better) and one big northern. We also caught at least 40 undersized fish that we threw back. I had one 19 incher that weight about 4 pounds. I let her go to because she was too small to mount, and too large to eat. Anyway, if you get a chance, get out on Anchor Bay, I don't remember a year with non-stop action like this.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I fried up the bass for dinner. In case you don't already know this, the 14-16 inch bass is one of the best eating fish in Lake St. Claire. Many people say they are BETTER than the walleye! <----<<<
