And I barely used it. I may have used it for 20 shots. Has anybody ever sent one back? They're supposed to work for 40 hours. (And no, it was never left "on")

Did you bust one of the contacts??? I believe they're those little silver ears that sit between the arrowshaft end the the nock.

No. At least it doesn't look like it.
I used it during one session about a month ago. Tried it today and it didn't work.

Did it accidentally get turned on in the case??? I had that happen before...just got bumped a little and it pushed the nock in far enough to turn it on. Noticed it the next day, still running.

i bought three last year, one went very dim the first couple days shooting, I also noticed they did not shoot the same as regular nocks, they shoot flatter in my bow??? more weight in rear of arrow? no complaints it reduces my error in distance problems  now i have 6 :) these three are staying bright after two weeks of flinging,, and i do not leave them in the case! this invites bumping them and turning them on, i put foam in bottom of the arrow practice holder also,, dropping them in the tube was turning them on,, check them at the end of the days shooting,,,!!!!

There was about an 1/8th in gap between nock and shaft when I picked it up today, so I don't think it was bumped or anything.
I've seen stuff on here about making your own, but could I rebuild this one if it did just "burn out"? Just pull out the battery and replace it?

made a couple of my own yesterday.they only come on when you shoot.real bright.the lite/battery cost me 3.19 each, plus 1 extra nock per arrow.screwed the first one up but the second worked fine.

Made some myself yesterday. had too many problems with the luminock. I used the Thill fishing batterys ( ones that come on when pushed down NOT the turn type), cut and old nock and glued the collar to the battery and glued a small piece of dowel in the arrow shaft as a stop. These work great! about 3 times brighter than a luminock;)

As said in different posts. I've had the same issues. Burt Coyote never got back to me after my second email.
And no, I never left mine "on" before either.
I won't be buying more of them if you know what I mean.

I checked mine the other day and it still worked but it seemed very dim. Mine hasn't been on for 4 mins. let alone 40 hours hours. I also had to trade it in twice to find one that acually worked Last year. Cool product but I think they need a little more quality control.
