I just got done taking down an above ground swimming pool that some moron put up as a deer blind in my uncles woods last year. It was about 50 yards away from my tree stand and it blocked one of the main trails that I had seen deer traveling on. This thing was made out of steel sheet metal and was about a 12ft circle by 4ft high. I am guessing it weighed about 80 pounds. I still can not believe that someone would drag that piece of garbage into the woods. They also used bright silver corrugated steel sheets (like you would see culverts made out of) to make more "cover". I think my heart rate is coming down a little bit. I should have taken it down earlier in the year so I didn't disturb the deer but I couldn't take it any more!

PLEASE share with us the most hideous deer blind you have seen. Pictures are encouraged!!

sure it was a deer blind? sounds more like paintballers to me. especially because of the steel culverts.

The landowners next to us use 2000 gallon water poly-tanks for deer blinds. He cut a rectangle out of one side to use for a door and insulated it with a couple inches of spray foam. Paint it brown and rig in some windows. Put it 10ft. off the ground and it seems to work pretty good. Uses the original water inlet as an outlet for his propane heater. Looks odd, but is very practical.

OK, I have found 3 over the years that would qualify. The first was a huge 1/4" steel boiler that some guy stuck in the ground upright and used a cutting torch to put two windows in it. How he got it out there is beyond me. The second was a port-o-let that someone had painted brown! The third was a medium sized cardboard box that someone had painted with some kind of rubberized paint! He had dug out a hole in the ground to sit in and put the box over the top. Of course the hole was pretty soggy. What a bunch of idiots! Ha Ha
