Went to Green Lake yesterday afternoon. I believe this lake get lots of fishing pressure. Anyway here are the details.

We ended up catching about 50-60 bass (1 small mouth) between me and my partner. Best presentation was a Carolina rigged lizard being drug along the bottom. Best depth was 10-15 fow. (right on the drop off). There was a strong West wind. Best location was on the West side of the peninsula directly in the wind. One bass that I caught had a school of 15-20 bass following it to the boat. All of the fish were on the smaller side (12" or so) with a few barely 14"ers thrown in. All of the fish fought very well. Much above average.

There have to be some bigger fish in the lake, I just have to figure out how to catch them.

The fishing pressure is more than likely the less of the worries for this lake. Since it is a very clear clean looking lake averyone loves to ski and boat on it. There has to be some big fish in there somewhere. I would think early morning would be the producing time. Maybe even at night with top water.

:D
The end NEAR the trailer park would be a great place to drag some REAL KrawlerZ , and you may end up with some 10-11 GilZ while you are there....
There are some SoW-Porkerzzz in there...
I used to fish it when I lived inWyoming...

That reminds me, the trailer park is gone. All ripped out.

Did you ever catch any walleye? The lakes seems like it would be a good place for walleyes and smallies.

I have never fished the lake myself. I have been told that it is a very busy lake for skiers. At that note i just stay away.

Mostly LMB.... Smallies aren't as prevalent there.
The Walleyes never took off AFAIK -- the DNR planted them once or twice... I think they should have POUNDED the spring fingerlings in there , myself.
I think ALL lakes get the "Water WingWangs" & you just gotta deal with it -- that's why I went from a plain-jane 14' to a 16 ft. deep V.
You will find the SmallJaws quite a bit deeper than LMB.... like in the 18- 30 FOW range
and yes Virginia , they JUMP when ya hook 'em !;)

Peace !!! SFW Over -N- Out......
PS...There are also Ciscoes in the 30-60 FOW range & some GoLLYWhomPeR Northereen EsoX Krunch-a-saur-us in there too... I mean GATORS.. but you gotta downrig 'em cuZ the Ciscoes keep 'em WELL fed...:D
