well after three years of shooting my setup i had a fault today. first 30 arrows for today were dead on, bow and hunter felt good. been shooting for a week and a half since i can finally start shooting again from my surgeries. well the next 5 arrows went to the right, next five started to spread out. thought it was me and getting a bit tiered. next 5 were all over the place a deer would have died laughing. wife mention to me she was hearing something a bit diffrent when i released, so i looked at my bow and found that my tm hunter rest was worn right out. this thing had almost an inch of up and down play. well went to my other bow and stole the rest from it eye balled it up and went back out first arrow dead center second arrow took off the nock, third arrow took off another nock. pulled out a five spot target and shot about 30 more arrows and all right back on.
so from this i hope a few of you will see how important it is to shot now and often to get all bugs out of your setup before oct1st hits. problem on the range are allowed problem on the stand could make for nightmares of a wounded deer

If you wouldn't have shot so much you wouldn't have worn out your rest;)

yes that would be true shoot less and save the gear. but 50buck for a tm hunter and have it last three years is a small price for me to pay to make sure i am perfect when the time comes to it. let see $16.66 a year spend more than that on a lunch during a long weekend hunt. and i by far have lost more value than that in the woods over the years.
one year i may go to the expensive drop aways but i still worry about wearing them out during a season. right know i will shot between 60 to 180 arrows in a day and come october first i will shot about 10 a day during the season and will be out just about everyday so i feel it money well spent. i see from my arrow case i will be doing a refleatch job on my arrows and will buy another dozen and start getting them ready for the moment of truth

I was kidding;) I'm a big proponent of practicing.
