Anyone ever run into this one? Sighted in at 20, everything was perfect. 30 shot a little right. 40 shot about 1-2 inches right. 50 shot 3+ inches right. Made small adjustments at 50 till i was centered. Went back to 20 and shot way left. Can't blame it on cross wind because my buddy next to me was shooting darts from everywhere. I've never had this happen or heard of it happening. The greater the shot distance the more my arrows would go to the right. Same set up I've had for 3+ years. I can't think of what I might be doing to correct this. Any ideas?

Not to sound judgemental but a couple of things could be happening.

One you make sure your anchoring in the right place every time.

Two don't rush between shots make sure your arms are relaxed because even the slightest twich at a distance of 40+yards could make up three inches. Though at a distance of 20 yrds you may not notice it.

Three don't gripp your bow with your bow hand shoot with it open or with very little to know gripping pressure this will decrease movement of the bow during shot sequence.

Also make sure you sights are tight on your bow.

Hope this helps, Good Shootin to ya,

I make sure that I do all of your suggestions. I'm usually a pretty good shot. My groups were all chew can sized or smaller and that's why I'm stumped. I wasn't shooting arrows all over the place. Sometimes I tend to not follow through with the shot. I'm going to try to hold my pin on the target until my arrow hits and see what happens. Maybe at that point I was getting fatigued...haven't shot as much I'd like. It just doesn't make sense to me how they were drifting right like that. Thanks for the ideas.

Move your arrow rest in 1/32" increments at a time to the left until you have the same sight plane all the way from 20yards to 50 yards. Once you have the same left and right at all distances then re-sight your bow in. You're just a little out of tune, that's all.

Yes there is....but before you move your rest, check your tiller measurements.

It is shooting bullet holes through paper but I'm starting to loose confidence in paper tuning...I think bare shaft tuning is the way to go but I haven't tried it yet.

I shot a little last night and it didn't seem so bad. Didn't shoot a lot though...having too much fun helping my friends 3 year old fling arrows w/ his recurve. If it continues to happen I will deffinatly take your advice Doc. Thanks

With left and right problems I usually look at weather one side of the buss cable is twisted more that the other. Easily is checked by laying an arrow down on the idler wheel and seeing if the shaft angles towards or away from the string. Should run paralell the whole way. Then I make the proper adjustments. In my experience tillers that are off effect nock travel.

Walkback tune your bow , using your 20yrd pin walk to 5 yards , shoot one arrow at the top of the bail , then walkback to 30 yrds and shhot at the first arrow with you 20 yrd pin. it will impact lower , but it should still have the same left and right. if it doesnt adjust your rest to bring the arrow in.

Adjusting tiller would be to correct and up and down arrow porpoising problem.
