scr fish report 8-15-07

16 eyes for an almost 3 man limit not bad with 2 newbies on board,only lost 3 and no tangles. used all# 5 raps purple descent didn't produce again brown trout was hot as was the perch.--- blue holograpic--black and silver minnow--fire tiger---green holograpic----also produced.. fish started biting at 9 pm-- found a nice 70 foot hole that was like pickin cherry's off a tree lot's of fun http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z237/talon333/102_4179.jpg

Nice Talon. We picked up three pulling wire and 1 jigging just after 12. Kinda weird jigging late a night, but it worked. We worked the area north of the bridge near the first two cans real well. Everyone else we talked to only picked up a few. You must have a honey hole hidden up there, or else you coaxing the fish to bite a lot better than most. I couldnt make out who it was on the radio, it was breaking up bad on my side as well. BTW your pm box is full!

The new boat ran great!

You guys are killing me up there, that's my favorite fishing spot but its been way too spotty this year to be trucking from Dearborn so I've been learning some summer tactics on the Detroit which I usully only fish in the spring.

Those fish came from that 70ft hole behind the paper plant or on the Canadian side :16suspect.Nice fish where ever you got them but those holes have not produced that many fish recently for several of very good fisherman I know that fish there almost nightly.Best I have heard as of 2 nights ago was 5.

I didnt have my whip up. It was laying verticle. I didnt know it would make a difference. Hope thats the case anyway.

Those colors , especially the green in a #5 turned hot last fall in the sturgeon hole.....All the old timers laughed because they said for years you couldn't catch a fish on them.....now all of a sudden...they want that color :lol::lol::lol:

Those colors , especially the green in a #5 turned hot last fall in the sturgeon hole.....All the old timers laughed because they said for years you couldn't catch a fish on them.....now all of a sudden...they want that color :lol::lol::lol: i came across them by accident because when i seen them i knew they weren't in my collection.i showed them to an oldtimer and he got excited and wanted to know where i got them. the green is called an emerald shiner.i've just painted some of his shiner raps in several shades of green trying to duplicate the color,but i can't get the right shade of green :mad: by the way he's been painting some of his raps all black with a white stripe down the back with 3-4 white stripes coming off the white stripe down the sides and calling it a ---skunk ---and has been catching fish on it :lol:
