If you go to the MI DNR website they list, I believe, two organizations. I'm sure there are others, but those are the two I know of. Glad to hear you're going to donate to the needy. I plan on doing it myself, but I've haven't ever gotten more than one deer.:D

:D....I normally get two which is enough. But part of the agreement of hunting this new property is shoot everything I can. Obviously I wont do that but the property has some nice bucks so if I have to shot 4-8 to to but meat in my fridge and 1 or 2 two on the wall so be it. The rest is all for a good cause win win for the farmers and the needy. And hopefully my Taxidermist......

I usually donate one deer a year to the Newaygo county food bank. This is handled by the processor I use and there is no charge for any deer donated to the needy.............

They process the donated deer and assure it is given to the food bank. I know just this one processor processed a lot of deer for the food bank....which I'm sure is appreciated................

There are a lot of processors that are in this plan................I won't use a processor unless they are..............
