Arrow Cleaning Solution ??

Have some old arrows that are kinda scuzzy and was thinking I should wipe them down with something before refletching. I see Bohning sells a solution for this but what do you all use to get better adhesion? Does it make a difference whether it's for feathers or vanes?

Bohning's SSR solution is what I always use. Works great.

No need to spend extra money on a cleaning solution when there are many household products that you probably already have laying around. Soap and water being the easiest. If you have a more stubborn issue, acetone works great as well.;)

I use alcohol and/or super fine steel wool to smooth out bumps.
