Anyone try the new Bushnell (onyx I think) GPS. It's the one you can download aireal photos directly to the GPS. Sounds like a great concept. Thinking about picking one up.

I'd love one for sure. But I just picked up a couple of eTrex Legends for $23/ea at Targets.;)

I haven't worked with a GPS product (other than the golf cart) so my question may be naive: Do these models that you mention have the ability to calculate area between coordinates? In other words, can I figure the acreage of an area lying between three or more corners?

Absolutely. You may need a mapping program for your computer to enter the waypoints, but I'm sure it could be done. In fact try MapCard.com. You can pull up an aireal photo of the property and click on boundry lines. You may be able to figure it out without a GPS.

I just wondered if anyone had used this new GPS. Seems like a better concept than the "old" ones. My Magellean still gets me around out west, but if I could download a aireal photo to go along with my way points - now were talkin!

It looks like a great unit. I've used GPS's for a few years now and that would be a great feature. I wouldn't be surprised to see others adding that feature. My only question would be where it's the maps are downloaded from and how recent are they. Regardless amazing feature to add.
