with the walleye moving into deeper colder water , have you found them to be hitting spoons more than rapalas?
just wondering, plus ive been trying to get out an hour or so before sunset, is this the time i should be using the spoons?
i heard of guys only using spoons...ist this true?

i do not use spoons, but i think spoons work best in daylight. i have been getting out 2-3 times a week and i have been getting them on pencil plugs, while everyone i talk to has to go to #7's or even #5 rapala's in the brown trout or purpledescent colors. last couple nights i been out, getting them on yellow.

I only run them in the daylight. I usually only fish at night but this year have been burning some vaca on mondays so I've been hitting the river near me (Dearborn) and running spoons in the morning rather than heading to the SCR or PH at night.

Spoons during the days....or spinners, wobblers.......Rapalas or pencil plugs after dark.....as a rule.....but many times you can light them up on Rapalas during the day also....don't be afraid to try different things!!
