Ted,

How did you do on Erie yesterday?

For the rest of the guys who might not understand the question here is a quick explanation. There are regular trips down to Erie for Walleye and Steelhead during the summer months. Several of the LSCWA guys provide the boats and members are invited to tag along. I went with Keith K. on Saturday and what with Dennis S. along we ended up with a 3 man limit of Steel and we did pick up a couple of Walleye in the morning.

A couple of captains went out again on Sunday and Keith saw Ted out there. So, that is why the question got asked.

We should hear more about this real hot Lake Erie fishery this coming Wednesday.

Here is a picture of our cooler of Steel.

Alex that is one beautiful looking cooler. Mine was splattered with blood and nasty looking. It was filled with steel though. We caught a quick 10 steelies then went in shallower and caught 6 walleye before packing it in. We spent alomost as much time at the border as we did on the water. LOL Well worth it though! See you Wednesday.

Maybe Keith will give some suggestions at the meeting on how he looks up weather reports. The reports and predictions are not always right but he does do his weather research by Thursday. He continues to check it out right up until he leaves.

It would be an interesting meeting if he gets a chance to provide some tips on weather related research. Many of us can apply that to our fishing trips closer to home.

I agree!
I do not work Fridays so I go out every afternoon. And every Friday the current weather for Algonac states winds anywhere from 3 - 7 mph, no big deal. Yet when I hit the river they are kicking up at least 15mph. Very frustrating.

Can't make this weeks, but there's a few of us guys from LSC.net that plan on joining in the very near future. Are these monthly meeting and always on Wednesdays? Same time every month and where?

Back in the late 1980's and the early 1990's I used to belong to the club when Rodger Paine was the pres. is when I joined and he was pres. for a few more years that was when the club was fun to be with back then, I still have a lot of trophies from back then. When Rodger decided to step down and nut run for re-elect is when Stan Bibalos (?) got elected and my step dad and myself stayed for a few more years and boy did the club start to loose a lot of the guys that had been there for years. We used to have the river division and the lake division at first, then it was changed to open fishing, with no limits to the people in the boat or on a team which made more people drop out from and unfair advantage for the super six (the more people the more fish, the better chance of the best for the super six) as well as many other rules were changed, so more of the regulars left and some new guys joined. After about 3 years of Stan trying to make the club change into Stan's walleye club I had finely dropped out and so did the rest of the guy's that I use to see pulling wire. It was not long after the club lost more members so that is when I was told that they moved from the Brucie Post and went to a smaller hall. When I first joined the Post was full and there was only stand up room, boy was that a great time. From what I hear the club is on the up swing again and I've also heard that the club is fun to go to again and I understand that it is once again fun to compete in the derbies with the other member. Who is the new pres., is it still one of the Fox guy's and is what I hear about the club true that it is once again a fun group of people and that their is no more fighting with in the ranks. Let me know because if it is maybe it is time to reconsider and join again next year.

Sea-Nile,The new president is Jeff Regulski, but elections are tonight I think and Jeff will probably step down(too bad, he's a great guy) still a good bunch of guys to get together with once or twice a month. Come on down to the meeting tonight(slick is coming) and judge for yourself. As with most clubs or organizations, there will always be politics.............. Al:chillin:

EMail sent - - hope it goes through.

Like Al D. says, come by tonight and visit. Remember, it is up to the members to make the club something. Volunteer to help on the Derby Committee, especially when the new rules are being put together, and things might not seem as bad as you make them out to be.

As with any other club way too many members leave all the work up to just a few. Help out, volunteer, sometimes it is no more than sitting down and helping with some of the busy work at a meeting or one of the events.

Speaking of which, the annual picnic is coming up this Sunday. It is usually open to invited guests and I would think that many of the crowd on this msg board could qualify.
