Longliner_382 joined me for another attempt at a perch trip. Ran down to the 8 mile area, took 19 perch(average) from 13 feet of water. Moved around some and realized(again) that we had left fish to find fish. Dodged the imaginary thunderstorms I heard about all the way there, nice day on the water in good company. NO unmentionables were harmed in the making of this report.

We did about the same harry out from Fords cove....14 ft. of water....they came in spurts...couple here....couple there....nice morning but slow!! we were off the water at 11:00am

We were the white on blue Starcraft to your south. We were there from 8 til 2 or so. Seemed like we got fish when we let out anchor line, then it slowed. Doesn't seem like they have started yet.

[PA Papa's Toy II]

Went out by the Firecracker and South Channel this morning. Only 14 small to medium perch to show for it .... Most fish came from 7-9 am; then the spigot off the rest of the day [left the water at `11:00am] :eek:
! Oh well, we had a nice Cedar Pointe type of "White Water Rafting" trip on the way back to port (Crocker). YeeeHaw.... broke my passenger seat :lol:, like that is a big surprise

Density going up the wave = Zero
Weight coming down (be nice) = Too Much
A new boat seat for you b'day = Priceless.

All I can say is if u have the right minnows the perch are there, 2 of us managed 49 keepers. We were west and north of you.

Had a buddy of mine call me on Sunday. They were about 1/2 way between 10 Mile and the Light. They took some real dandies along with a bunch of hog smallmouth. 1/2 nightcrawler fished on a leader with one of those small blades that's on the snelled spreader rigs. (drifting)
