And here's my completed generator house. It turned out pretty nice. Low maintenance!

Nice! Did you bury the lines from the generator to the Air Stream?

Yeap direct burial power to the Airstream and then the other way to the well pit. The water lines are also 4' under and are terminated at a hydrant near the trailer. With the soil as sandy as it is, this water can be run even in the dead of winter. As soon as you turn off the hydrant the water is stopped at a valve 4' underground and any water that is above that valve is drained back into the soil.

Looks good Steve. I remember when you first set this up, great job.
If I recall correctly it is near Manistee....will be up there the first week of October if you need anything checked on:)

I will be up there the first full weekend of October. It sure has come a long way in 3 years. From nothing but a deer trail to having water, electricity, heat and a roof over my head.

Can you remotely start the generator from the Airstream?

Steve,
What type of hydrant are you using that has a stop valve down 4' and also drains, or how did you rig it up?
Thanks,
Mark

Steve,
very impressive. Iam thinking about doing a similar setup on my deer property and was wondering if you knew how the township will determine what you will be charged for your property taxes. For instance will your property still be considered vacant land or will the utilities have an effect on the taxes you will pay.
