Alright, not gonna go crazy here....some low life scum stole all my archery stuff out of the back of my truck. I have a cap on the truck and was heading to my other house and just popped into a store for the gf to get her prescricption and had a moment of not thinking. I didnt lock the cap, did not even think about it because it was a 3-5 minute stop. Anyways, they got me good. My bow was in the case and got all my arrows, trigger release, broadheads. Had a Mathews Z-Light. Made a polic report and gonna see if and how much my insurance is gonna or wont cover.
I need to know where I can get a good deal on a new rig, would prefer to stay with Mathews or something very compereable. I live in SE Michigan and looking for a dealer or good pro shop where I can get it from, all set up and tuned. I am starting to have a panic attack here, I am due in bear camp in about 5 weeks.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.
Sucks too, was gonna get a new Cudde back, guess that is out now....

Did the store have any security cameras on the parking lot? That really sucks big time! Thieves are the scum of the earth, I hate them! If you're looking for a new rig, I'd check out KD's, they definitely have a great reputation.

SBB...........that really sucks, sorry to hear about that, you let your guard down for one minute and ...............bam! Not sure were you live, but I would keep my eyes on Craigslist, those scum might try to sell it there, you might be able to catch the scum, and get your stuff back, at the same time.:evilsmile

That really sticks. I had the same thing happen to me just before I was heading up north for opening week. My insurance company gave me replacement cost on everything I could product a receipt or proof of purchase. I had mine stole out of the back of my truck while in my garage. I needed to provide a Police Report with an itemized list of items and the replacement cost. Good luck hope all works out well.

That is the problem, I have owned that bow for about guessing ten years or so, I have know Idea if and where that receipt would be, although I could itemize the list pretty easy and I do have a police report made and gonna pick it up. I am hoping they will take care of it, never made a claim with them.
sorry to hear about your loss. where did this happen?
This happened in Lincoln Park around 230 this afternoon.

That sux, It's gettin worse around us everday. My neighbor just had his garage broken into.
Probably a good idea to take a few pics of your equipment guys.I had my locked truck broken into sometime ago,and had a police report made up.Of course I had very little in the receipt department either, but I did have pics and the insurance covered it with no hassle at all.Good luck soggy.

Ninja generally does better for MS members.....ask a few, I'm sure they will tell you.
Soggy,
I'll be in Tuesday....give me a call and we'll set a time up to get together.
I can also help with a written estimate of what your gear was worth if the insurance company needs it.

I've had buddies that had to remove thier decals for fear of loosing thier gear. Did you have hunting decals on your truck?

Thanks Ken,
I really appreciate it. I will drop you a line on Tuesday, and I should have more information by then as far as what the insurance company will need to cover the loss. Look forward to meeting you.

Sounds good man. I got to get up there myself and have the 500 hundred shot check up on my bow done. That is where I got my Browning Vapor at.

I feel your pain bro,
They got me several years back in my own driveway!
Was headin up to the thumb to bow hunt and shoot some pond wood ducks.
They got my bow, chainsaw, and 20 ga. Remington.
As a cop here in SE MI, i'll tell you that the next one you get mark with your Drivers license number. Have it professionally engraved, looks much better!
Go check your local pawn shops, crackheads are usually the culprits. Looking to turn a quick buck!! Hopefully you have some hunting photos of you and the bow. You should be able to get the serial number of the old one from your dealer, manufacturer warranty records, etc..
If you do locate it in a locla pawn shop, you will more than likely have to buy it back from them for what they paid for it! But thats better than a whole new rig!!
Good luck!!

Called car insurance company today, they replied that they do not cover personal property losses unless the vehicle is stolen then property removed. Told me to call my homeowners. Think I hear that damn merry go round starting to squeak. Gonna give them a call tomorrow and see what they say, I tell ya if I get no satisfaction from either of them, I am gonna be pissed and cancel them both and get new insurers.

Your loss should be covered under the comprhensive part of your auto insurance. It's common for an insurance company to say no to people on their first attempt. But take a look at your policy and then use it against them. ;)

I had items stolen out of my truck in the parking lot at work and my homeowners insurance covered it. We also had three bows stolen from our garage two brand new ones that I just bought for my sons (parker and jennings) and my first bow. Luckily for me I left my Mathews in the case and didn't hang it up on the wall with the rest of them. However they did get my quiver full of arrows and new broadheads, then they had the nerve to go into my wife's van at steal a portable dvd player. On the way out the found my brand new, never been used sawzall. All the police wanted to know was the serial numbers in case they get confiscated at some later date. All the insurance company wanted was reciepts or they would pro-rate the replacement cost. State Farm was really good about it.
Sorry about you loss.
