i gotta refill my a+s with new wire...how do i attach and how much should i put in there? the whole 300 ft? what kind of knot to tie after pullin the old out? i got no crimpin stuff...:confused:

put all of the 300 feet on, not sure on a&s but mine had a spot to put wire around screw or a hole to tie to once you pull it out all the way.

ggoblue Take it to the Bill bell because there is a knob on the side of those reels and by what I understand is if you dont crank that knob on the side 300 times or some thing to that affect that you will not get all 300' of wire back on the reel.. All I can say this is what I heard 2nd hand I would leave it up to the guys that know this stuff just my 2 cents.. Cya Slick

Wire might be too stiff for a knot. If it's not, two half hitches should do the trick.

if you pull all the old wire off,dont let go of the wheel,keep turning it and it will eventually stop,then its ready to attach the new wire,the crimp sleeves are cheap but if you dont have any,a small brass swivel sleeve and pair pliers will work

i got my limit last nite:D on my scabbed together reel with about 230 ft of 45# coated....i'll be calling up mr bell soon because i dont like the lline i put in there [been running 30 uncoated for yrs] its too thick...thanks all for the good and free advice...:one_eye:...steady bite last night ended up with the gold and orange back raps dominating...:corkysm55:corkysm55:corkysm55
