scr fri nite report

lets see...first fish around 9ish....immediately buried the hook in my left pointy finger...i stopped crying long enough to rip it out...here is a tip...when rippin front hook of rapala out of finger be sure rear hook doesnt destroy next finger on its way past :lol:...then sis in law started hoggin fish with her famous 'drag method'..:dizzy:....then i get on some nice fish and catch 2 in row so i pull up and hand the hot lure over to the guest side of boat...i put 2 braND new hot steel raps on mine and tune em up...i put on a new shank because the old one is unraveling [after only 10 yrs too :one_eye:] as i send em down i get a nick from my main line...i comment 'theres gonna be some maintenence done tomorrow morning'...i hook up immediately another nice fish...he getts off...but wait....my whole main line has broken and there goes a new shank, 2 raps, and a sinker to the bottom. :sad: so back on with the old shank, retie the main line [30 ft shorter]...kept tryin to go over the spot...the dotted track on my gps becomes a cobblestone road...we get 2 more for the night...assorted tangles and such has us down to one lead each the last hour....final tally 8 fish...12 beers...half a pint of blood dripped in the first aid kit...and a shopping list for sat morning...SEE YOU AT LAKESIDE :lol:

ps the fish are gettin bigger , and i shall return tonight :D :D :D LOVE THIS METHOD...

hate when ya lose the whole setup:rant:, happened to me last week, one minute it was there, then it was gone, musta had a weak spot. and for the gps, i have a spot on mine that is like a solid black rectangle i hit this area so much this year.

sounds a little like the night we had, my cat eyes headlamp went dead --thanks to don he had an extra one on his boat ---my wire line broke above my shank--lost 2 raps #5 br.trout and purple descent and 2lb sinker with (talon) stamped on it ---if anyone snags it please return--yeah right :lol: had two tangles, one major one that don had the patience to un tangle.:dizzy: don blamed it on me using 30 lb mason cause he uses the cheap 30 lb wal-mart. lost like 4 fish in a row ,then just got unrelenting bashing from don and huntin with chubba, until they lost there share about 12 eyes at least between all of us so we ended up with 18 eyes for a 3 man limit by around 1 am. my wire is also nicked 40 ft above my shank and had to put a piece of electrcal tape on it to keep fishing just like you george have to do a bunch of maint. today make up some new leads buy new sinkers and buy more raps anyway was nice to get out again cause it's been about 3 weeks http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z237/talon333/102_4141.jpg
