Hello all Gilly and I headed out to pull some wire tonight, it was pretty slow we ended up 3 for 4 we lost one half way to the boat skipping on the surface.. I also caught 3 or 4 rock bass:dizzy: I said one time I never catch those and here we go:dizzy:..
We tried a couple spots and onre of them was by the island with no luck there at all, you know it's kind of funny because my kicker has a 1/2 gallon gas tank right on the kicker and I like that one less tank in the boat to be in the way.. Well the kicker will run on that 1/2 gallon for 3 hours and then it done, well that seems like a perfect amount of time to be out there, because if you dont have them by then forget about it:lol:..
It was a nice night out and only a couple other handliners that I saw purple dessent #7 Rapala and blue and chrome rabble rowser were the lures I used.. Cya Slick

Slick sorry about the rock bass, but then even the best get them (Macker). Dang I thought his name and it typed in automatically, amazing. But today is a bass tourney and Sunday I am hitching a ride to saginaw bay to do some fishing, I hope.
Good report and even with the bass you still got some of those tasty critters so it had to be a great night.

Glad to see someone made it out. I was headed to the ramp last night when the van stalled and I couldn't get it started.
Got the van to the repair shop, friend of mine picked me up and we got the boat home, how I'm just waiting to hear from the mechanic.
Not how I wanted to start the weekend.

Even tho old river rats in town are saying it's slow, you know whats funny about handlining at night the time just seems to fly by, it's funny three hours is gone in no time.. When I bottom bounce in the the early mornings you know what time it is just by the sun and how much boat traffic there is it's wild but 3 hours seems to be gone in no time:lol:.. Cya Slick

Hey Slick.....
I think you're going too slow if you are catching rock bass (really? rock bass?) or they're attracted to that blue thing on your hand. Ok...........................tell the truth...........you don't really wear that thing, do you???
