FYI the Humane Society of the United States [HSUS] reported 'record levels of donations' following M. Vick's recent indictment on dogfighting charges. Rest assured that plenty of that money will go to fund political activity like the defeat of the Dove Hunting proposition in MI.

Like I tell everyone. "NEVER"!!! donate monies to the HSUS, The Michigan Humane society or any other Anti-Hunting groups. Some people say how the Michigan Humane Society does all this good, for protecting our pets getting them adopted into good homes Ect. It's all B.S.They kill hundreds and thousands of animals each and every day. Including puppies and kittens. These animals are on a adoption list . And if they don't adopt them out in a timely manner. They kill these animals. Yes, I know that alot of those puppies and kittens are ferral and are killed because of that. But that blame should go to the people that have barn cats, or let their cats run free at night. Or people that lets their dogs go because they can't care for them, or what ever reason they release them. These Societies use these monies to form groups, and buy time on the television to stop what many of us enjoy each and every day. Which is hunting, fishing and trapping. DO NOT DONATE ANY THING TO THESE SOCIETIES....EVER!!!!!:rant:

Michigan Humane Society was, also, in the forefront of the anti-dove initiative. They had reps at every committee hearing in Lansing, kinda nice that they don't ever have enough money for all the stray animals, but they have plenty to pay their folks to lobby against hunting.

Vick isn't the only one involved in dogfighting. ANYONE who is so engaged is a detriment to humanity. The focus needs to be removed from M.V. and begin to encircle anyone who portrays themselves as a human being and is involved in dogfighting......cockfighting.....or other sports pitting........to death or serious injury.....animal vs. animal.

Agreed, I have been thinking the same thing since this all started and all the networks started trotting out HSUS reps for their opinions on the subject.
