Dewitt area - Looking Glass River?

The wife and her friend want to try out our new kayaks this weekend. She heard the Looking Glass River was a nice one to try out.
Does anyone know where she can park the truck and get on the water at? Her friend lives in Lansing so I'm thinking around the Dewitt area.

Not a real good time for the Looking Glass, Deer flies are horrible this time of year on that river!

The water is also very low right now. But there is access in Wacousta at the park and also farther down. I know people that go from Wacousta to Portland, that's a pretty nice stretch.
