OK, tell me about your experience with the Ripcord....good? Bad? Ugly?
Been using the Triohy Taker Shakey Hunter with excellent result and recently the Biscuit Deluxe....the biscuit is ok, but I prefer a fall away rest.
Next rest is either the Ripcord or the TT full capture.

I really like my Ripcord Swamp. Have had it for 1 full year with zero problems.

Rip cord works very well!!!! zero problems with it performing ever. I did notice it being a little noisy when the arrow slides on it but felt fixed it easily. I have also seen a few break on the plasic part that holds the arrow, and you wont find a replacement part anywhere. I have one on my bow and would say its a very good rest!!!!

So far so good with mine, I like the way it shoots and holds the arrows in place. I have not notice the noise? I'd recommend it.

BUT...check out the new LimbSaver drop-away before you make your decision.

Rip cord is a great drop away. Doesn't stay in up position if you had to let down like the ultra rest does though. On the plus side I haven't heard of anyone having problems with the RC dropping fast enough like some say they do with the ultra. Can't go wrong with either I think, personally I like the ultra.
I shoot a zero effect which I also think is one of the best out there. Not many people talk about it though. Not sure why. Not impressed with the new limb saver though.

I just switched to the Ripcord from a Shakey hunter myself, and I am pleased with the Ripcord. I like it better. No problems, and it operates quiter than my shakey hunter, I could never get rid of the metal ting of the shakey hunter dropping. I too would reccomend putting a little felt on it though for ultimate silence.

have never had problems with mine, and i love it. A new drop away came out this year though.....it doesnt lower if you draw back and let down without shooting, as the ripcord does. on the down side, the new rest (its really bothering me that i cant remember the name..help me out guys) costs about 120, as opposed to the ripcord at 70.

I shoot a ZE and love it. My brother shoots a Vital Bow Gear Kaz Away and it's really nice as well.

I have heard positive things about the Ripcord, However I have the new QAD rest this year. It is the Ultra rest HD. It is great.
Very quiet, total arrow clearance and the fully captures the arrow. It also stays up if you let down on your draw as several have mentioned above. It is certainly worth you looking at before you decide.

It will be on a completely new rig. Currently have a Biscuit on the Ross....it's ok, but's it's no drop away! Had a Trophy Taker Shaky Hunter on my Ultra Tec but I sold that bow and set up. Like the idea of full containment style rest but just not the biscuit. A local shop here highly recommends the Ripcord but it's always nice to get others opinions and experiences.
If I go this route the ripcord will be mounted to an Elite Synergy and finished off with a Pollington Red Dot, Meanv String Supressor and Bowjax stab. Still contemplating!
(likely no new guns this fall so a bow it may be!)
I like the QAD as well and it is very similar, this shop just seems to recommend the Ripcord. Another option is the Spot Hogg Whammy or the TT full capture, along with the QAD. I wil lstick with a drop away though, no if, and, or buts!
Thanks all for the input, keep it coming!
