Savage 22 250/3000

I have a Savage 22 250-3000 lever action
dose anyone know anything about these?? it was my grand dads

Are you sure it's not a 250-3000? Savage came out with this round before the1920's for it's model 99. It shot a 87 grain bullet at 3000fps thus 250-3000. It will do everything a 243 can. Your factory loads may be limited.

I have seen the ammo before but not much of it.

I don't have any use for it, I would like to know the vaule of it
